The Haut Company

The Haut Company is a natural, vegan skincare brand selling across international markets, with a product range centered around their popular reusable eye pads. They approached me to take a critical look at their existing Shopify store and identify where the purchase journey could be improved.

I carried out a full site audit, examining the store through the lens of a potential customer & looking at how easy it was to discover products, understand their value, and complete a purchase with confidence. The audit produced a clear set of prioritised recommendations covering UX, conversion friction points, and technical improvements. Rather than handing over a document and stepping away, I then implemented those changes directly, ensuring the improvements were executed properly rather than left to interpretation.

Alongside this work, I also developed a custom build-a-bundle page which was a streamlined experience allowing customers to mix and match products into a personalised order. Bundles are a well-established way to increase average order value, but only when the experience feels intuitive rather than clunky. The goal here was to make the feature feel like a natural part of the store rather than a bolted-on extra.

We worked with James ahead of Black Friday to build a custom bundle builder for our Shopify store. It was exactly what we needed - our customers could put together their own sets easily, and it made a real difference to our sales over the Black Friday period.
