Kidnetics

Kidnetics makes high-protein, low-sugar snacks for kids, nut-free, school-friendly, and genuinely tasty. By the time they came to me, they already had a Shopify store, but it had been built on Shopify Hydrogen, the headless framework typically reserved for large-scale, high-complexity ecommerce operations. For a growing DTC brand at Kidnetics' stage, it was significantly more infrastructure than the business needed. It was expensive to maintain, harder to iterate on, and ultimately getting in the way rather than helping.

The right call was a rebuild on a standard Shopify theme. Working from their existing designs, I rebuilt the store in a way that preserved the brand's look and feel while moving onto a much more manageable, maintainable foundation. The result was a store they could actually work with day-to-day, without needing specialist headless development support every time something needed changing.

From there I reviewed the product detail pages and homepage with fresh eyes. I identified a number of improvements to how products were being presented and how the site was guiding visitors toward a purchase, and implemented those changes. It's a good example of how a rebuild isn't always about doing more, sometimes the most valuable thing is simplifying what's already there and making it work properly.

James was phenomenal to work with. Clear communication throughout, excellent technical Shopify work, and a genuine understanding of our brand. We couldn’t recommend him more.
